About Max and Joy
Max and Joy started as a dog walking service in Greater Sudbury. Over time, our clients started asking for more: somewhere their dog could go during the day, or stay overnight while they travelled. They did not want a kennel. They wanted somewhere their dog could actually relax.
So we built that. We now offer walking, daycare, boarding, and pet sitting from our home in Sudbury. Every dog in our care is treated as a guest. We know their names, their routines, and what makes them comfortable. That is not something you get from a facility with rotating staff.

Yes, always. We meet every dog before their first stay. It helps your dog get comfortable with our home, and lets us confirm they are a good fit with whoever else is currently booked.
Tell us when you reach out. We are experienced with anxious and reactive dogs, and our home-based small-group model is actually well suited to them. We will be honest if we think another service would work better for your dog.
We cover most of Greater Sudbury. For dog walking, you need to be within our service area. For everything else, you drop your dog off at our home, so distance is less of an issue.
